This is a simplified estimate for general understanding. Your employer's matching EPF/ESIC contribution is not deducted from your pay and is not shown here. Actual pay slips may include components not covered by this tool (arrears, incentives, agency-specific deductions). Always refer to your official pay slip for exact figures.

How this calculator works

The calculator applies two of the most common statutory deductions for outsourced employees in Uttar Pradesh:

  • EPF (Employees' Provident Fund): 12% of your PF-eligible wage is deducted as your share and deposited into your EPF account, matched by an equal contribution from your employer (the outsourcing agency). Only your share reduces your take-home pay.
  • ESIC (Employees' State Insurance): If your gross wage is at or below the notified ceiling (₹21,000/month at the time of writing), 0.75% is deducted as your share, giving you access to ESIC medical and cash benefits.
  • Professional tax: Shown here as an illustrative slab only, since actual professional tax rules and thresholds are set by the relevant local/state notification and can differ by employer.

Rates, thresholds and applicability change over time through government notifications, and specific departments or agencies may apply additional rules. Treat this tool as a starting point for understanding your pay slip, not as a substitute for it.
